Africa is Crying....Should we Help?

Africa is Crying....Should we Help?

Poverty is considered as the primary cause of child labor in Africa.Child labour in Africa is the employment of children in a manner that deprives them of their childhood, and is harmful to their physical and mental development. Africa has the world's highest incidence rates of child labour. The problem is severe in sub-saharan Africa where more than 40% of all children aged 5–14 labour for survival, or about 48 million children.
International Labour Organization estimates that agriculture is the largest employer of child labor in Africa. Vast majority are unpaid family workers.
"Agriculture alone employs more than 30% of all African children aged 10–14. Informal economy such as small scale artisanal mines is another significant employer of child labour..."

In 2008, Bloomberg claimed child labour in copper and cobalt mines of Congo that supplied Chinese companies. The children dig the ore by hand, carry sacks of ores on their backs, and these are then purchased by these companies. Over 60 of Katanga's 75 processing plants are owned by Chinese companies and 90 percent of the region's minerals go to China. An African NGO report claimed 80,000 child labourers under the age of 15, or about 40% of all miners, were supplying ore to Chinese companies in this African region

International Labor Organization (ILO) suggests poverty is the greatest single force driving children into the workplace. Another major factor driving children to harmful labor is the lack of schools and poor quality of schooling.

The Need of hour is very easy to be understood only if u feel you are able to take the responsibility,
 Rethink n make your choice?

Change, the need of hour!

Education system Needs A SHIFT

India and the world are no more different now. The demarcation man made are gradually dissolving practically though not on papers. Human Exchanges among countries is on a boost and lets not forget the Cultutral exchanges along with technological.Recently Delhi University (one of the Central Universities in India) adopted a whole new american system of Degree programs that were much more specific and do give acknowledgment to one's interest.

Similarly Studies in Schools should be more of a specific. Say i take example of Algebra, taught to understand the story of 'x' & 'y'. "I gave the shopkeeper X Dollars Y Cents". Very nice, I got the basic idea of finding two numbers that are represented by X n Y. My Question here is was the Cubic formulae of X & Y equations were of any use that were put into mind (We do have to cramp formulae Anyways). So a kid who had interest in Belly Dancing was made to learn this formulae.

Why don't we challenge the ways existing. Why don't we talk about improvements or leakeges that could be filled to gather a better tomorrow. India is considerably behind in boosting such thought process i.e Researches. According to the Govt. Data, India not even invested 1 % of its GDP towards R&D, being one of the most attractive economies of modern times. Ofcourse after becoming first asian nation to launch a Satellite to Mangal (Mars).

Change is Inevitable and I wish it prevails.

INDIA ON THE VERGE OF INEQUALITY

INDIA ON THE VERGE OF INEQUALITY

S
itting amidst the lounge like atmosphere at my place , enjoying the loudness of trans music and the late supper I had my eyes suddenly got tucked at a 500 rupee note in my hand.
Then and there my mind compares its value for different group of people in our society. Someone’s one day wage may be one day’s savings, probably a day’s pocket money or may be an hour’s expenditure.
That’s the real picture that the growing and developing nation of INDIA depicts. Umpteen number of scams on one side rocking the country after every quarter and on the other side the old list of social problems that I studied in my school and I guess my children will also study the same as social problems in India.
This problem of income inequality is growing serious day by day. Government is taking every single step to repeat the show of what happened in UK because of the same reason few time back. As usual counter, Government has initiated many self-employment programs, changing the name of few old programs and showing them as new also. However, none of them helped the people.
The point here is “Whether the society is not letting the poor grow or the poor are not willing to grow?”. Whatever be the answer, the common cause is the dereliction in duty on the part of government as well as citizens.
No doubt UPA II is doing every bit to make INDIA’s economy a bombshell to explode in years to come with long list of scams, no stern decisions, and inflation rocketing to double digits. Seeing the Uttar Pradesh elections, one can conclude that if you don’t work you don’t deserve to be in power. With an average of 58% people casting their votes on an average, the rage is sounding high.
The need of hour is to vote for someone who leads us to a better tomorrow. A sensible voter can help himself and his /her fellow citizens. If you find a flaw in every other person, come forward and do your bit for the nation.
With that fingers crossed for 2014 union elections.

The Time Has Come : Nov 6

W
ell this is in regards to the U.S presidential elections. November 6, 2012 is the day on which the fortune of not only America rather the world economy will be decided which has a major role in the world economy.
Will it be President Obama going in for his second term or Governor Mitt Romney coming to the help of the dropping US economy? Though the three face to face debates between the two candidates surely helped the citizen of states to take a meaningful decision, still the whole world has its eyes on the finale.
Obama on one hand is very responsibly helping out the citizens in the time when most areas of the country are being hit by Hurricane Sandy, featuring in public photographs holding disguised people and from Romney’s point of view it must have been a chance to stand people support. The recent findings still show the ball Is in Obama’s court, however you never know what’s in the box for the future of USA and the world.
US has a giant economy that effects the world at every point of time, be it the Recession of 2008 or the upcoming increasing unemployment issue for the citizens. President did promised many things in the last elections however correctly pointed out by Romney in the presidential debate, few of them could be achieved.
Both of them have a Different approach towards taking America forward but the point is whose approach is more realistic or reliable in true sense. The vote bank politics will work for both of them or the citizens will choose the apt person for their future.
Seven seas down, INDIA is also looking out at the big day with many favours being pending, be it the work visa issues in case of the IT firms or other important national issues. The new external affairs minister of India. Mr Salman Khurshid would also be keen to the same regarding his foreign counter part.
Lets see, what happens… may god help the people take right decision that will surely influence the whole world out there!!!

Life AND Road,

Just Imagine…

J
ust imagine if I ask you to compare your life with a road, there are so many things that will hit your mind. To name a few say Journey or Milestones or Directions.
Now here is what I imagined when this question was put by mind to itself. My life is almost similar to a road’s life; however I will classify the type of road at my wish. As and when I got this beautiful life of got the road was started with laying of mud and gravels. I was a small baby and my mother gave me an oil massage everyday as if the road was being covered by layers and layers of gravels, mud every day in the initial period.
When I grew up a little, I went to school and start learning with my first book. I never knew at that time that Learning is what I have to do all my life and on the parallel side road was given its first coat of charcoal. Gradually I grew up to puberty and the feeling of infatuation strikes me, eventually I was very happy to be closer of being a man. The road was now taking his/her(whatever u call it) new face, with a divider being placed with a paint and other fittings being done to make it look good as if I groom myself to be good in almost every walk of life.
The Sub roads that came in to join me were my friends who slowly became an important part of my life; still there was one special road that I term as a Best friend. As I moved on and road was being built, the new hoardings and banners on the sides were same as the deviations I met in my life. I had to ignore them and the same did road do. It moved straight leaving behind any deviation in its path.
Every mountain or river that came in my way was just like a hurdle in life that we have no option other than to face it. To resolve it either I had to blow up a mountain to make my way or construct a bridge to cross it over. Slowly and steadily I learned new things, adopted new principles in life like the new turns and curves. And then I met a similar joining in with me and we had to share the journey from now with my partner in life. We shared everything, every signboard, every roadside restraint. There were so many people in my life that it felt like they were the milestones at every kilometre that I had met in my journey till now.
If I try to make you understand it’s like I was one of the sub roads that came in from a main road my mom and dad shared in their life and in future there will be sub road/s(I don’t know now how many kids will I have!). And the whole world operates this way making it a complex web structure and that’s why we say, “This world is such a small place”.

I

s That His Real Face?

S
till the memories of the 16 day fast unto death lead by Anna Hazare are fresh in my mind; however it has quickly faded from minds of most of us. The vigour and courage that man displayed working on the lines of the father of our nation was respected by millions of people round the country. People came out in his support; they sensed that this man will do something to help us. However, it actually ended with a handicapped lokpal bill in the parliament with almost no help to the mango man.
In the recent times, a new man took the driver’s seat and that’s Arvind Kejriwal, an activist turned politician who very slowly carried out an image transition process and is successful. Lashing out every other day at UPA-II or the opposition major BJP. Be it the Vadra-DLF land deal in Gurgaon with a senior Haryana bureaucrat Ashok Khemka being transferred or making allegations against Salman khurshid’s wife Louise’s run NGO for making wrong use of money. On the other hand, he made allegations against BJP president Nitin gadkari for a farm land misuse in Maharashtra with input from Sharad Pawar.
The scene now is Congress is now exposing BJP with every bit of information from insiders and vice versa. If we look at this from a different angle, it’s like Kejriwal threw a matchstick between two trunks of inflammable liquid and made Congress and BJP stand at 1-1 on the Scam points. Now he will just wait and watch how these two, in order to be lower at the tally points, will expose each other automatically.
By the time Union elections 2014 arrive, BJP & Congress are completely exposed to the mango man and furiously public votes for India Against Corruption. That’s a real political move, the things to be seen is that whether the political giansts of the world’s largest democracy are able to think on these lines or not. And if yes what will be their next move against Kejriwal.
